Life's Journey

Life's journey
sometimes
takes us
from a path to a pathless world;
sometimes from order to chaos;
and
sometimes from norm to free play of desire.

It seems to be caught between disruption and creativity on one side and disruption, destruction and death on the other.

Elephant Cathedral/Silent Teachers

Picture Source

The word cathedral is derived from the Latin noun "cathedra" (seat or chair), and refers to the presence of the bishop's or archbishop's chair or throne. In the ancient world, the chair was the symbol of a teacher.

Tiny in all respects in comparison to its surrounding, the elephant has in the jungle that surrounds it a silent teacher. Very often we forget our tiny finitude, play up our pettiness and fail to recognise the many giant silent teachers in our lives.

Being-in-the-World

For great, realistic ideas:
-- Firmly place feet on the ground.
-- And carefully screw your head tightly to your body.
Best of luck.

Lost Futures

The futures of thousands of children are lost annually. But it is not children's futures alone we are guilty of losing...We also lose sight of great ideas and possibilities for better futures.
